Hiii π
Iβm back to posting, yaaay! Life has been so busy lately that I honestly forgot about my blog π But Iβm here now, and todayβs post is all about stepping outside of my comfort zone by attending my first ever event alone.
The event was hosted by the loveliest Salaha (@salaha.ashraf). She organised a Soft Girlhood X South Asian Heritage Month gathering at Dishoom, Kingβs Cross.

When she invited me, I was so excited. Iβve always admired her soft girlhood lifestyle, and at the beginning of this year, I made it a goal to start feeling more confident attending places alone.
I can easily go to restaurants, cafes, or walks all by myself. I genuinely love my own company, and spending time alone really does wonders for my mental health. But when it came to attending an event alone, I never had the confidence. So when this opportunity came along, I was excited but also superrrrrr nervous.
On the day of the event, I was so nervous. My husband kindly drove me there, and the whole way I kept saying how nervous I was. He was so sweeeeet, reassuring me that it would be fine. And he was right⦠because I ended up going and had the best time. I met so many lovely ladies, including a few I already followed on Instagram.
I left that evening feeling full of love and happiness. It felt amazing to achieve something I had always wanted to do. I stepped out of my comfort zone, pushed through my nerves, and Iβm so glad I did. Now I feel brave and confident enough to attend other events without feeling scared, because I know Iβve done it once and I can do it again and again. (I actually went to my second event alone too, but Iβll save that for another post.)

How cute does the set up look!! sooo pretty

I want this post to inspire you. If I can do it, then so can you. Step out of your comfort zone and see how everything around you changes. Make new friends, create new connections, and meet different kinds of people.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and I shall see you all very soon.
Byeeeeeee π
